- What risk management procedures should company boards adhere to? Should company directors be liable for corporate criminal offences? How do we measure the performance of a Board of Directors?
Companies are an integral part of the Australian economy and our everyday lives - for better or worse. Come along to the second ALPSA seminar for 2017 as we tackle questions about the philosophy of corporate governance in Australia, chaired by corporate law lecturer, Dr Radha Ivory.
The panel will consist of:
Lesley Symons GAICD, policy expert and former senior lawyer at ASIC. Lesley is a UQ Law alumna, and undertook study at Harvard University Law School on International Financial Systems. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) in corporate governance, and a sessional lecturer in the QUT School of Law.
Jennifer Robertson FAICD, corporate governance consultant at Board Matters. She is the director of several companies and a facilitator for the Australian Institute of Company Directors' (AICD) 'Company Directors Course'. She spent ten years in private legal practice.
