Event Description

Full Description:
All staff and students who are actively using or are interested in using Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) for scientific computing, are invited to an informal workshop to share experience and learn from others in the same situation.

GPUs are growing in importance for scientific computing – for example, in many future flagship supercomputers, GPUs or other accelerators will provide 90% of computational throughput. However, GPUs are massively parallel architectures and offer great challenges to utilize efficiently. Depending on the particular problem the best approach may vary considerably. Attend to share your experience and/or find out how and why other researchers are employing GPUs to accelerate their research.
