- Full Description:
- Deep Learning is an approach to Artificial Intelligence that is inspired by the hierarchy of cortical areas in our visual system. It has transformed speech recognition, picture captioning and many other difficult problems such as playing board games like Go. This lecture will explore the background that led up to these advances and the challenges that lie ahead in achieving intelligent behaviour.
The lecture will be held from 5:00 - 6:00 pm followed by cocktails. Please RSVP at the link provided above.
