Event Description

Full Description:
Body image stereotyping and body shaming is relevant in our digital age, particularly through social media. The effects of this are particularly evident in younger generations.

UQ drama students have produced a piece of Forum Theatre centred around this issue titled, BodySlam: Self Esteem Sold Separately.

In Forum Theatre, a play is presented as a way of evoking a theatrical dialogue centred around a social or political issue that is relevant to the community. Audience members have an opportunity to engage with the story and alter the outcome.

In this piece, we represent the problem from the perspective of both young men and women, in social and professional environments alike.

Please RSVP by 19th October by calling 3365 2552 for more information please look at the link provided above.
