Event Description

Full Description:
What does it take to create a medal-winning athlete? Is it all about natural ability or can anyone succeed with the right development?

Join us this month to hear from an animal performance researcher, an Olympic medallist and an Olympic coach as they discuss what it takes to create an Olympian.

UQ’s Associate Professor Robbie Wilson will discuss how physical attributes define success - from endangered quolls to elite soccer players - and how we can better identify and develop sporting talent to bring home more Olympic medals.

Olympic bronze medallist diver and UQ science student Maddison Keeney will share how she turned her potential into Olympic success at Rio 2016.

Diving Australia National Coach–Brisbane Hui Tong will share his approach to developing talent and coaching champions.
