Event Description

Full Description:
QAAFI Science Seminar
Presented by A/Prof. Kirsten Nielsen from University of Minnesota

ABSTRACT
Fungal infections, whether the host is a human or a plant, are often acquired from the environment. Yet for many fungal pathogens we know very little about these organisms in their natural environment.

This seminar will focus on recent studies aimed identification of ecological reservoirs of the human fungal pathogens Cryptococcus neoformans and Blastomyces dermatitidis.
