Event Description

Full Description:
The rapid expansion of interactive digital platforms and the increasingly sophisticated techniques for recording, collating and managing user-generated content raises new challenges and opportunities for scholars in Media and Cultural Studies. It brings the concerns of our disciplines into contact with a range of social research and signals a major shift in methodological and analytical practice.
This half-day symposium and the workshops are intended to share some practical and intellectual insights from researchers currently working in this exciting new field. Along with presentations, we seek to encourage debate among academics working with User-Generated Content across a range of research contexts and disciplines.

There will also be an afternoon tour of the new Centre for Digital Scholarship facility at the University of Queensland. In your RSVP, please indicate if you would like to join this tour.

Please RSVP to Jill Paxton (j.paxton@uq.edu.au) or Adrian Athique (uqamabbo@uq.edu.au). This is a free event, but confirmation for catering purposes is required.
