Full Description:
Join us for three research seminars on humpback whale song.

Dr Anita Murray will present a part of her recently completed doctoral thesis: 'Simple and complex phrase types provide structural evidence for a multi-message display in humpback whales'.

Elisa Girola, PhD Candidate in the Cetacean Ecology and Acoustics Laboratory, will describe the findings of some of her PhD research: 'The effects of noise on the vocal behaviour of singing humpback whales'.

Jenny Allen, PhD Candidate in the Cetacean Ecology and Acoustics Laboratory, will describe some ongoing research in 'Fine scale comparison of song transmission in neighbouring populations of South Pacific humpback whales'.
