Event Description

Full Description:
Few would doubt that “the environmental consequences of war are often widespread and devastating”. This paper explores the impact of war on ecology and the need for what is called warfare ecology. Some Biblical themes are explored, with a particular focus on a theology of reconciliation. If “the Church is intended to be a sign of reconciliation in the world” (Vischer), what does that look like in the context of international conflict? The paper proposes a 10-point plan for a path of reconciliation, and proposes that we as a human community in tune with the natural world may reach towards a higher unifying goal.
