Full Description:
This seminar will describe two research projects in sport history involving the community of Cherbourg, in Queensland.
Dr Gary Osmond, a Senior Lecturer in sport history in the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences (HMNS) at UQ will present a talk entitled 'Marching and Yarning: A Transformative Narrative of the Cherbourg Marching Girls'.
A/Prof Murray Phillip from HMNS will present 'Mapping Sport History: Investigating the relationship between Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and History‐Making'
