Event Description
- Full Description:
- Although sustainability is not solely about environmental stewardship but about the equal importance of social, economic, and environmental objectives, the terms sustainability and environmental sustainability are often used synonymously, excluding the social dimension. In this lunchbox lecture Dr Anna Krzeminska from the UQ Business School introduces the concepts of social enterprise and social entrepreneurship. Building on different types of social enterprise models and using illustrative examples she explores the opportunity for truly triple bottom line business, i.e., organizations that equitably embrace social, environmental and economic objectives. She will also guide interested students on how to get involved in the Business School’s various activities and courses in social enterprise and community engagement.
