Event Description

Full Description:
In 2012 the Danish government passed a School Reform. The implementation of the School Reform began in 2013. One aspect of the School reform is the mandatory requirement of 45 minutes per day of Physical Activity (PA), Physical Education (PE), movement and learning for all schools.

In this seminar, A/Prof Lars Elbęk will discuss a project in which 40 university students and 12 teachers worked together in creating a movement practice of academic learning in a vocational business school. The project used action research to engage teachers and students in collaborative ways to implement the new School Reform requirements within the classroom.

A/Prof Lars Elbęk is the Head of Research in Physical Education and Sports Psychology, at the Institute of Sports Science and Biomechanics, University of Southern Denmark.
