Title: What the fly's nose tells the fly's brain
Abstract:
The goal of this talk is to describe the way a particular circuit – the fly olfactory system – provides a unique neural tag for odors. And the motivation is to understand how at least one neural system assigns unique tags to arbitrary points in a high-dimensional space.
