Full Description:: The University of Queensland Professor of Economics Chris O' Donnell is presenting a seminar on 'An economic approach to identifying drivers of productivity change in the market sectors of the Australian economy'. Professor O'Donnell explains that one of the main drivers of this change in the economy over the past two decades has been changes in 'scale-mix efficiency'. It is a measure of how well a company captures economies of scale and scope. While focusing on methodology in this presentation, he will draw on empirical results from the mining and agricultural sectors.
