“Bringing together Australia’s leading researchers in the field to tackle major problems in spinal pain”
Purpose of the NNSS:
“National Network of Spine Scientists (NNSS): Development of new knowledge and advances in spine research requires interdisciplinary collaboration. However, collaboration between groups is difficult as there are few spine scientists in Australia with groups geographically isolated. The CCRE will involve the alliance of the core multidisciplinary group of CIs at the University of Queensland, and a NNSS including key scientists across Australia who represent major fields in spine research.”
Objectives of the NNSS:
(i) Assisting in the conceptualization and design of studies – multidisciplinary focus,
(ii) Attending an Annual CCRE Symposium to discuss current and future directions of the Centre and present current research,
(iii) Mentoring Clinical Research Fellows, and
(iv) Contributing to collaborative grants.
(v) Exchange opportunities for trainees and researchers – potential network for exchange of post-docs
