What do we offer?
The RD Milns Antiquities Museum provides a range of education programs for secondary school students studying the ancient world. These programs provide opportunities for students to learn and apply historical skills outlined in the Australian Curriculum (ACARA). We cover syllabus content related to ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt.
Our education programs consist of themed tours and workshops, each focusing on a unique area of the ancient world. Tours are held in our gallery space, where students are guided through a curated selection of artefacts. Workshops allow students to learn and apply historical skills in a hands-on environment. We also offer virtual tours for schools across Australia. Education programs are delivered by skilled researchers in the fields of Ancient History, Archaeology, and Museum Studies.
The Antiquities Museum is located at The University of Queensland’s St Lucia Campus. Groups visiting the Museum may also take advantage of the many facilities and opportunities available on campus.
What program is right for you?
Our programs are suitable for students ranging from Year 7 to Year 12. We draw from both 7-10 History syllabus (ACARA Version 9.0) and the Senior Ancient History syllabus (ACARA Version 8.4).

3 hour | $43 per student with a minimum spend of $705 |
4 hour | $50 per student with a minimum spend of $775 |
These prices are current for 2024 bookings.
Make a Booking
Each of our programs are 1 hour in length. When making your booking, you can select up to 4 programs of your choice. A typical booking consists of at least 1 tour and 1 workshop but can be customised as desired. Visits of 3-4 hours in length will include a scheduled 30-minute lunch break.
